Parsley Builders has been helping homeowners build lasting investments in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan area for over fifty years. We have the experience to build virtually any request to fit any lifestyle, from ramblers to high-end estates. Every project is custom built and blends the ‘old school’ craftsmanship of hand cutting, hand framing with the appropriate use of new technology and material. Rarely will we use ‘prefab’ materials and lumber in your remodeling project.
Your core project team includes Tom Gunderson—craftsmen/site manager, Hal Herald—craftsmen—crew manager, Steve Parsley Project manager/Owner and Shreve Parsley—office manager.
Our services have evolved over the years with the ever-changing needs of our customers. Lifestyles have changed, so has the way we communicate with our customers, subcontractors and suppliers. One constant has been our customer’s desire for timely, up-to-date information.

History
Since our inception in 1952, we’ve worked hard to create strong, lasting relationships with o
ur customers, subcontractors, the community and familiar product manufacturers like Pella Windows®. During our journey, we’ve accumulated a wealth of experience and know-how to give you trusted advice and insightful recommendations on your unique project requirements.
1952 Bob Parsley and Myron Gunderson started Parsley Gunderson Construction Company (P&G). Projects included installation and refinishing oak flooring for homeowners and bowling alleys.
1955 Started new home and remodeling.
1962 Steve Parsley, age 12, start working for P&G.
1964 Tom Gunderson, age 12, began working for P&G.
1970 P&G mostly working on new construction homes in the South Metro, Richfield area.
1972 P&G dissolved. Bob and Steve Parsley started Parsley Builders.
1982 Parsley Builders majority of projects were remodeling and additions.
1985 Steve Parsley becomes sole proprietor of Parsley Builders.
1988 Tom Gunderson reunites with Steve under Parsley Builders.
1992 Hal Herald begins working at Parsley Builders.
2001 Shreve Parsley starts work for Parsley Builders after graduating from St. Cloud State University in Construction/Business Management.
2002 Shreve Parsley becomes office manager.
2003 Parsley Builders moves into new location at 2409 West 66th Street and launches new interactive website.
Over the years we’ve also sponsored local Richfield athletic teams for swimming, fastpitch girls softball, Little League baseball, Babe Ruth baseball, youth football and hockey teams.
